Potty Training at its Not-So Finest

Can you believe it?  I saw this on my local news.....Utah Mom of twin girls bring potty chairs to reataurant. She undressed them, sat them on the potty, order their food, and they ate. There is a time and place for everything.  But, that was not the time nor the place for potty training.

First, let me go on to say that I am a mother of three. So, I know the ups and downs of potty training. There may be times where you are so frustrated that you may want to take it to the next level by any means necessary. But, I don't think that means potty training your little one(s) while at the table in a public restaurant. That's just not sanitary. Not only that, you must take in consideration of other people around you. However,  there is nothing wrong with having potty chairs to your own dinner table in the privacy of your home. (Personally, I would not have done that, but you can do whatever you want inside your own home.)  If this was the mom's way of  getting her daughters to use the potty, she might want to try a different method.

If you are currently potty training your little one and find yourself at wits end, please visit Family Toliet Seat.com for some great potty training tips. So, please no potty training your little one(s) in public.

Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread Nice

It seems like the best time of the year to eat is during the fall season. As fall approaches, you will begin to see many people baking or cooking some scrumptuous, mouth watering, cinnamon-pumpkin spice flavored food. It's hard to even think about dieting when you have some finger-lickin' food at your finger tips. If you don't believe me, here's a preview to some delicious food heading our way. The question is....ARE YOU READY?!?

Remembering 9/11

Picture by: Think Chattanooga via Toia on Pinterest

September 11, 2001 is the day that America stood still. We couldn't believe or even imagined something so tragic could have happened to so many innocent people. It's been 11 years since this horrific event struck the United States of America to the core. And yet, I can still remember where I was when this happened as if it was yesterday.

And let us not forget. Despite all, we will forever be a blessed nation.

Picture by: Escape Adulthood with Kim and Jason via Toia on Pinterest

To wear or not to wear white? That is the question often asked after Labor Day. Some people don't care. Labor Day or schmaybor day they are going to wear white. However, there are others who solemnly believe by this fashion golden rule. In my opinion, even though rules are not made to be broken, some are made to bend a little. If you are one those rebels who like to bend the rules and be an individual, here are a few websites that give great tips on how to wear white after Labor Day.

When it comes to wearing white after Labor Day, I don't judge...to each their own. However, there's one thing that I know for sure is.........

For most parents, getting your children ready for the first day of school can be a bit stressful. I have 3 children in school. Ketirah, age 9, is in elementary; Michael, age 13, middle school; and Jonathan, age 16 (YIKES!), is in high school. (We interrupt this post to tell to please pray for Toia's sanity. She has two teenaged boys in her house.) It can be a bit overwhelming for me.

I cames across six websites that offer great tips for parents from saving money on school supplies to fashion tips. I am not affliliated with any of these websites listed below.
